KILT MOUSE ANIMATION

As mentioned in a previous post - I decided to animate the KILT MOUSE character. I have taken a small section of sound from a John K Ren & Stimpy episode to animate the dialogue to.

This is really a test for me to practice the Rod Scribner / Manny Gould animation style from the 1940's Warner Brother's cartoons. Really stretchy/squashy animation - REAL animation!

So, posted here is the first very rough poses of the animation as thumbnails. This is just one of the many options I have tried for poses. Some are working, some not at all.

GRANNY

Something I messed around with last night. Little old granny - be a lot of fun to animate a walk cycle for her. Will do so soon. Will also post a colour version as well soon!

FAT TONY

Just playing around with expressions. Let me know what you think!

MIGHTY SUMO!

I go Japan every year for the Tokyo Game Show and for the SUMO! I love it. Always sit right up front as there is something cool about the idea that you could be squished at any moment by these guys! Will do some more of these guys soon.

ANGRY KILT MOUSE

Something I have been messing around with in my spare time. Using Alias Sketchbook and a Wacom 21UX for this. Sketchbook is great - no scanning and really nice to draw in. Animating this guy at the moment in a Rod Scribner (great Warners animator of the 40's on most of the Clampett cartoons) style of way. Will put a colour version up soon as well.
